The drip pan sets under the indoor coil, not on top. The numbers wold be found inside the coil's cabinnet
Testimonial: "like i said there is no model number on the evaporative coil no where im hoping you would be able to find the size with the model #'s of the condensor coil and the heater absolutly no model # for the evaporative coil"

If the water is backing up clean out the drain line or replace it. Code requires a trap and traps catch dirt and plug. Would be nice if they put a clean out on these but it does not always happen.

The unit won't kick on if you have a float switch installed on the unit. The drip pan you are talking about, I think, is the emergency drain pain and you will find it sitting directly below the unit. It will be a big silver pan with pvc piping connected to it. If you turn the switch for the fan to on instead of auto, does the fan kick on? Do you have power to the unit? Have you manually reset the breaker to the unit? Are you getting an error code (flashing light) from the control board? Are there any lights on in the unit? If you can answer some of these questions, I can help you diagnose your unit correctly.

In order to freeze, some refrigerant must be present. The outdoor units compressor overhats and will cut out, the fan stays on, if poor refigernat charge is the problem. This overload will not reset for 1-3 hours, just enough time to defrost and refail again.

If the drip pan switch is shutting the unit down , this means you have a condensate drain issue. Be careful about wiring around any safety switch, especially if the furnace is in the attic or on a second floor. You could have water dripping on the ceiling. The drip pan switch is a safety switch. The best thing to do would be to inspect the furnace. The pan is underneath it. Look inside the pan if you can. If it is full of water, use a shop vac and vac the water out of the pan. If there is no water, you can locate the safety switch, take the two wires loose from it and just wire them together. Caution: This will be wiring around the condensate safety switch that could cause water to leak on the ceiling or floor depending where the furnace is. Don't go too long without getting someone out to clean the condensate drain out.
