SOURCE: configure WRT300N wireless Router to connect internet using PPPoE
Often the nets and subnets are NOT the same.. ie The Fixed connection often uses 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, however sometimes the wifi is setup 10.1.1.1, or 10.0.0.1 etc, have you checked this? Esentially tho ya router is an "Acess Point" and ya Lappy etc is ya "Client" the links below has a lot of tutorials to help have a look. http://portforward.com/routers.htm http://portforward.com/guides.htm

You need to connect the line cable in your dsl modem the the router and go through the set-up procedure on the router.
I.E. put all your ISP settings into the router.

Make sure the wireless adapter is enabled on the elonex laptop and its properly installed.
Connect wirelessly on the elonex one laptop using the same SSID and security key that you used on your main laptop.

Most likely you have a conflict with the first two numbers of your lan address for the router being the same as the modem. For example, 192.168.x.x and 192.168.x.x. Even if the last two numbers are different you can have conflicts. Disconnect your router from the modem and log into your router. Change the lan address for your router to 172.168.x.x, 172.16.x.x or some other first two numbers. After applying the changes, hook up your router too the modem and see if that solves your problem. It did mine. You may also need to set you user ID and password for your system on the second router. (Your digital cable connection may have had a different lan address that was not conflicting.)
