Model pp4218 throttle stuck open

I assume you are referring to a pullen pro chain saw. If so, the cable that links from the trigger to the carburetor is stuck. This can happen due to trash and dirt stuck in the trigger area, or the carburetor needs cleaning. Or the cable or wire to the carburetor is bent. See if the connection between the trigger and carb moves freely when not running.

Throttle connections on poulan pro 210 chainsaw

The precision bent throttle connecting rod can only go in one way CORRECTLY.... if it has to be forced or bent, stop and figure out the puzzle before any damage is done.

I'd suggest placing the carb temporarily on the mounting studs on the side of the cylinder. Don't install the filter and nuts etc yet. Take the throttle rod and lay it in place this way and that way until it looks like it matches the trigger end AND the carb end. Usually the carb end has to be installed on the carb while it is removed from the engine as tightness of space won't allow moving it all over to poke it in the hole. Once it is on the carb and you are sure of the orientation, slide the carb once again over the studs and lay the throttle rod by the trigger.

You need about three hands to hold the trigger, trigger lock, trigger return spring and the handle together while you figure out how to snap in the top of the handle and start a screw under the handle.

Trigger wire that goes to the carb is not working. what can i do to fix it?

There should be a safety bad on ths handle that you hold down so that you can pull the throttle trigger. Check to make sure you are depressing it enough or that it is actually unlocking when depressed.

I can't figure out how to re-attach the throttle wire to the carburetor and handle on my husqvarna 235 chainsaw

To re assemble the carb, connect the throttle wire into the r/h side of the carb, there is a small hole in the throttle spindle, thread the wire into the spindle from the out side and twist so it stays in the spindle, you must do this with the carb off the saw, now push the carb with the wire connected back onto the two studs from the cylinder, refit the black air filter box, fit and tighten the two 8mm nuts, re fit the torx 20 screw into the top of the filter box, re fit the orange plastic plate on the r/h side of the crankcase, now re fit the the back handle and spine assembly, fit the three torx screws back through the anti vib springs and into the crankcase, if not already done remove the three screws securing the l/h side rear handle half, hook the other end of the throttle rod into the trigger, refit the handle half.

Trigger stuck on full

This machine has a metal throttle rod from the trigger to the carb, you need to look at the side of the carb where the rod connects to the carb, with your finger ( with the engine stopped ) work the carb throttle spindle manually to see if it is moving freely and it springs back to the small throttle idle screw easily, if it does unscrew the idle screw with a cross head screw driver until the machine idles ok, if not you need to take the l/h side cover off to investigate what has happened .

My husqvarna 455 rancher needs a carburetor kit how do you remove the carb

This is not so easy to explain, this is an X Torque engine so the carb does not come off so easy, there are air tubes on the back of the carb, however, remove the air filter, remove the earth cut out wire and earth return wire from the red switch, they are just push on, there is a blue clip on the throttle shaft side of the carb, gently pull out and twist ( this holds the throttle push rod into the carb ), open the throttle trigger with your finger at the same time now remove the throttle push rod from the throttle shaft, once out of the carb pull the rod toward the front of the saw and out of the tank, now unscrew the four allen headed screws from the air filter housing, and remove, ease the carb up and away far enough to remove the fuel hose, now remove completely.

The two halfs of the rear handle do not seperate, once you have removed the r/h side grip you can remove the throttle lock, you then need to remove the pivot pin from the trigger with a pin punch, the trigger can then be pulled down and out, you may need to disconnect the throttle wire from the carb if you cannot drop the trigger far enough to remove the wire from it.

Crafstman chainsaw at full power when started

If you had this apart, a few things may have happened. First the linkage from carb to throttle trigger maybe jammed between plastic housing or linkage may have come apart and throttle is in the full open position. You'll have to take this apart again and follow the linkage between carb and throttle trigger to ensure all is connected and moving freely and properly. Use care when putting housing back together.

I had same issue with my 2 year old 4cycle. Check if the carb is moving full stroke with throttle movement. I had almost no movement at carb at full throttle, found the trigger in throttle handle was cracked and bent rather than pull cable. I called mantis and they promptly sent a new handle bar ***'y with new cable, throttle ***'y Etc and that solved my problem.

BTW: If you cannot wait, I did figure out that if I pushed the carb to open with the throttle trigger fully pulled it would run at high, but when you let go.....LOL
