My web camera shows purple

Colours are produced by mixing the three primary colours. However, when only two of the three primary colours are working correctly, the result is some shade of purple.

So, it's cheapest to buy a replacement camera.

try to reinstall the drivers for quick play and do the buttons on the top still light up blue. If not its the top switch or the cables under the top switch have gone bad.

Sounds like a power supply failing. If nothing was done to it other than the above stated, more than likely a weak PSU (Power Supply Unit).

using a web camera is very simple even though it can be complicated sometimes.

you may be seeing a driver installed for ur web camera, in the device manager. But u need an application to run ur camera.

Dont worry i've been through the same problem i'll definately help u fixin it.

Select ur operating system & direct urself

Consider if u selected Windows XP,
then go for
HP 1.3 MegaPixel (MP) Webcam Software Drivers
and download it..

Consider if u go fir Windows Vista,
then go for
HP Webcam Driver with Firmware Upgrade for Microsoft Windows Vista
and download it..

it has to work for definate as i solved my own problem this way..

Go to the settings for the youcam when you bring up the program. This would be the icon with the crossed tools. Look in there for the advanced video settings, here you can change the position or orientation of the camera view also known as the rotation angle of the camera.

You can reinstall the video drivers as well but it might be better to call support. The number can be found on the same site. Good Luck

If enabling blue tooth from the keyboard does not work anymore, then you usually need to reinstall Bluetooth drivers again.

to download drivers click on the link below, select the model, select the operative system version, then select Network Driver and reinstall bluetooth drivers from there.

If this does not solve the problem, then the bluetooth module ( a mini PCI card) may be defective. In that case an opriton could be installing an external bluetooth: TRENDnet TBW-105UB Network adapter - USB

make sure ya have a VISTA compatible Driver for ya wifi ... go to manufactures web site and DL latest one for VISTA..

Remove and reinstall most up to date driver... then use ya connection program to set it up.
