If the problem is not resolving read manual manual see if there is any guarantee ,if its not too old .
Sometimes take out wallconnector , a cannister of compressed air to clean something inside, If microswitches are used or an opto coupler , sometimes a new printer is cheaper then repair

A very little suggestion sometimes you have luck by Youtube without commercial costs.

SOURCE: Pixma ip1500 permanent paper jam-with video showing

the problem is with the software of your printer.. here's what you should do.. install back your printer, and then turn on your computer.. press ctrl + shift + escape.. this will open the task manager.. on the task manager, look for spool.exe and end its process... afterwards, try to reboot your computer.. i just hope this will work.. and please don't disassemble your printer again.... if this won't work, send your printer back to the manufacturer and they will have it fixed for you.. ok?

Don't know if it's the same problem i had but its maybe worth a try. Canon MP160
My paper went in a little, the wheels were turning but it didn't take the rest of the paper or print.
Someone replied to my problem, i tried it and it fixed 1st time. Also seems to of worked for others

Solution:- Use a piece of thin card, a magazine cover is what i used, make sure its A4 size then try to print something, as the paper starts moving push it through! and hey presto it worked for me, everything printing fine now

SOURCE: Adding adding machine paper to the Ibico 1202

Assuming that you know where the paper gets feed in, I usually use this trick to start a new roll of paper.
First, tear off the end of the new roll so that there isn't any glue stuck on the paper.
Then, fold the tip of the paper like an arrow. > (Fold one side to the middle and the other side to the middle so both sides meet in the middle.
Then, place the paper into the slot where the paper feeds in..Look in the back of the printer for a thin slot. (Usually goes under the printer1.gif assembly) and then hit the PAPER FEED button at the same time. If the paper is in the correct slot, the paper should start feeding the paper all the way through.
Hope this helps.
Have a good day.

basically for this printer I have found that just restarting your computer will solve almost anything. make sure there is no paper left jammed in the printer and restart. sometimes you have to delete the print job in the printer que. there should be a printer icon down my your clock, right click, open active printers, and delete your file. restart your computer and try again

I have a Brother model HL-2040. The printer was working fine. I put some additional paper in it and clicked print and all the lights started flashing. I looked for a paper in the printer wrong and...

Hi there,
Red paper light is on means that there is no paper fed in the machine. Follow the steps below to clear this issue:
- First remove the paper tray from the machine. - Then remove all the paper from the tray. - Fan the paper well or run your fingers through the edges of the paper. - Adjust the paper guides of the tray. - Then reload the paper back to the paper tray. - Put the paper tray back to the machine. - Lastly press the go/blue button.
Printer should print the document.
Hope this helps. Rate if it works. Thanks

Paper red light blinking. paper is full. What could be wrong? Will not print

Paper light flashing could mean several things on this machine.

There could be a paper jam in the machine. Open the front cover remove the drum and toner and look in the machine. Open the back cover and look for a Jam as well.

Try putting a piece of paper in the manual feed tray which is right above the paper tray, sometimes on certain documents the margins are too big and asks to go into the manual feed slot.

The red light is blinking and it doesn't print.

There are actually some certain meaning on the red light and green light showing different information to user. The summaries are:
1) Green On, Red Off = Printer Ready.
2) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Fast-Flashing = Printer warm up.
3) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Off = Printer off-line.
4) Green Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Processing Data.
5) Green Off, Red On = Cover Opened, Toner Empty or Developer Unit / Drum unit missing.
6) Green Off, Red Fast-Flashing = Paper Jam or waiting for jam reset.
7) Green Off, Red Slow-Flashing = Paper Empty or Paper tray is not inserted.
8) Green Off, Red Off = Printer power is off.
9) Green Very-Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Printer in sleep mode.
10) Green (any condition above), Red Slow-Flashing = Toner low or paper empty.

So what is your printer condition? Better know what is going on your printer so can solve the problem.

Two red lights blinking

The flashing red light next to a page and bin indicates paper or a CD/DVD has jammed in the printer.

The flashing red light next to the drop indicates that the ink is low - if it is solid on then the ink is out.

Both of these lights flashing rapidly together means taht the print head carriage is obstructed by jammed paper or some other material and cannot return to the home position. Turn off the printer then open the paper support and the printer cover. Then remove any paper or other obstructions from the paper path by hand / tweezers. Then, turn the printer back on and the fault should clear. If the lights are stioll flashing then check the paper path again and see if the print head carriage assembly is jammed by gently moving it very slightly along the carriage. Don't force this or do this too hard or too far as you can cause some damage to the drive

Help please. can't print: paper light flashing even though there is paper in printer

To fix the NON EXISTANT paper jam:

Status light is on, paper light is on - you can hear the paper feed trying to "grab" the paper, but it can't,  and status light goes Red.

Take out paper tray

Reset the blue paper holders, move them tight against the paper so the paper is snug against all blue barriers. Cause: Somehow the blue paper holders got dislodged and the paper is not snug so the feeder is trying to grab paper that  is slightly out of reach.
