Open the machine and to the right under the drum you should see the the black powder (toner) going down into container the right lower side cover must come off. probably a service call will be needed

Just an FYI, this can be very messy. If you figure out how to get the thing out (should be near your consumable supplies like toner and image units) place the whole unit into a plastic bag, tie the bag, then shake it out gently. You may have to learn how it opens in order to "open the door". Best to use a vaccum with a heppa type filter as normal vaccum filter is too course for the fine toner partcles. Be ready for toner volcano.

waste toner bottle is just beside paper tray 1. its the left side small cover. open the front cover and open the screw from top and open the cover in front and pull the bottle out. if its hard then email me on [email protected]. i am a Ricoh tech. i will help you out.

Here's what I did.
Emptied the waste toner cartridge. Left it out of the machine. Held the microswitch (located to the right of the optical sensors) in the "cartridge in" position with a paperclip. Printed one document. Inserted the waste toner cartridge. Error now gone!
