If you have experienced a power outage recently and the TV is plugged directly into the wall 110VAC outlet; you may have experienced a burst of power called surge, whereby the excessive energy could damage the Video Controller PC Board. This is why I suggest using a Power Battery Backup unit to catch such energy. Its called a UPS and Walmart has them. They must match the Voltage/Amps and power Wattage of the TV. In the mean time, if the PC board was jolted, it needs to be replaced by a technician.
Chances are you have something wrong in the main board..replace it and things should be back to normal or try a hard reset

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected

most likely the convergence Ics have failed. Check F9a04 and F9A05 pico fuses if they are blown you will need to replace them and the convergence Ics.They are located on the center board they are green and look like resistors without the color band. see the photo

Your TV most likely has a convergence failure. ( common problem )
Here are some of the most common symptoms and example photos of a convergence problem
Here are some photos of convergence problems.
Here is a quick test....
Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.
Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.
You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.
If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.
SOLUTION
You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses. Its a fairly easy DIY job or you can call in a pro. If you want to do the repair yourself check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. Their kits include a photo instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, thermal paste, email/phone support, etc.
