I need to recover a computer that has been backed up using Norton Ghost 9. We have miss placed the original CD so are not able to enter the recovery environment. The reason we need to recover the machine is something has happened that will not allow our modem to work. (It works on other machines.) Otherwise, the computer seems to function. Is there some way to make a new recovery disk?
No Ghost 14 cannot open saved Ghost 9 files.
This version no longer supports opening of older version .gho image files. Rather, it stores images in .v2i format. Older .gho image files can be restored using Ghost Explorer, a separate utility.
You can get Ghost Explorer here:
ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/products/ghost/utilities/GHO_Explorer.exe

I need to download a Symantec Recovery Disk that will work for Norton Ghost 9.0. I have located a site where I can download Norton Ghost 14 which includes an SRD. Will that work for Norton Ghost 9.0?
