SOURCE: Exhaust Fan (outdoor blower?) shuts off after 1 minute, and motor feels hot

sounds like your condenser fan (the outside blower) has gone bad or the capacitor (small silver box looking thing attached to the motor). the way to test the cap. is with a digital meter that can test for micro farads. the reason it gets hot is you have electricity going to the motor. normally it would transition that energy to motion energy. however since the motor is not turning that energy has to go some where, so it turns into heat energy. your best bet is to replace your condenser fan and capacitor. that is if your comfortable with that type of repair. otherwise call someone out to repair and tell them what your make and model is so they can bring the parts with them and save you some money. hope that helps

SOURCE: Blowing hot air, compressor not kicking on, just fan ? ?

are you speaking of the outside fan or inside? compressor should be a little warm but not boiling hot. the unit could be low on freon. if low it will run a while but the compressor will overheat and shut off leaving the fan running by itself ouside. if nothing outside is running check power. if you have power check the contacted outside to make sure it's pulled in. contacters are bad about going out on goodman untis. Also ants can get under contacts.

Filter dirty and blowing warm air

If your filter is dirty, the fan inside the house cannot push the cold air thru the evaporator, cool air cannot circulate, this will cause the compressor outside to over heat and even damage it and possible trip some fuses or circuit breakers, with these hotter days you want to change out your filters more often, changing out your filters more often will keep the evaporator cleaner and allow the cool air to flow, easier.good luck!

Daughter moved into apartment and Goodman wall unit not cooling, no service till Monday. Blows air, just not cool. Anything I can do?

Make sure that the cooling control or thermostat is set below the ambient room temperature by at least 4 degrees. It may be a case that it was not set low enough to cause the compressor to turn ON. Only the fan is working.

If that doesn't help solve the problem, invite her to stay with you until Monday.

Goodman PGJ030075-1 Motor Not Spinning - No Cool Air Blowing

I assume you are talking about the evaporator fan motor. Check the capacitor. Replace if necessary. If cap shows good then it's most likely the indoor fan motor.
