Suddenly my maytag neptune washer is SO loud when it is in the spin cycle. Nothing else seems to be a problem in that it is completing the cycles, cleaning the clothes, etc. It is just extremely loud during the spin cycles.
Had the same problem with my Neptune and is was not the bearing (there's only one). I replaced my washer with a new tub and bearing which was factory pressed in the tub (couldn't just by the bearing) after all this I found that the spinner support (which has three arms holding the tub) on the back of the tub had one of the three bolts broke and was throwing the washer out of balance and creating a loud knocking sound when it would spin. Replaced the stainless bolt and everything was fine. The repair man told me what he thought was wrong with my machine so I did the repair myself and found out after the fact that I wouldn't have had to spend all the money on the new parts if I would have just investigated the problem further.
I found out that is the front bearing that cause the loud in the spin cycle. Replacing will fix the problem, but I can,t still find the part!!
Maytag wants 460.00 and repairclinic 450.00
I agree that it's the bearing. Unfortunately the easiest way to replace it is to replace the entire outer tub. I've tried to replace just the bearing and it's much much easier to replace the entire thing. That's what Maytag recommends anyway. Unfortunately it costs about 6 times more in parts to do that.
Sounds like the rear bearing is worn out which is part of the outer tub take the back off the washer and see if the noise is comming from the center of the tub let me know if this works
Try some anti-squeek on the belt, after plug off the wall & removing the rear panel. Or you could even try some soap from a soap cake.

We have a 7-year old Maytag Neptune with the same problem - incredibly noisy during the spin cycle. We had a Maytag repairman take a look at it and he said that it was the bearings. And that the problem with the bearings was the result of using too much detergent or the wrong kind of detergent. These machines apparently need "HE" (high efficiency - low sudsing detergent. The repairman explained
that excess soap suds is the most likely cause of bearing failure and
extra suds can get forced through the back into the bearing housing and
rust them. Repairable, but expensive - around $500 Cdn.
We have only used HE soap in our washer, we have the same problem, with no help from Maytag on the cost of the repair. The repair man said that it could be from dirt / sand not being fully removed from items washed. I am very frustrated with this situation.
I have a Maytag Neptune MAH3000AWW front loader. It is very loud during the spin cycle. Can this be fixed by someone with little to no experience in repair work
I have the same problem but with a GE washer. Model number WHRE5260E1WW. It sounds like it is going to launch into outer space when it is spinning. It sounds like it is spinning too fast as well. I imagine that could be because of the loudness and the fact that now we can hear it spinning unlike before?
My husband thinks we need to replace the transmission. Will this fix the problem?
when the washer is in the spin cycle it is very loud and sounds like it is off balance.
The washer has a very loud spin cycle.
