Fisher paykel washer

My fisher paykel of 6 years or so will not rinse or spin. It agitates but will not spin the clothes? I have only tried what my book says which is virtually nothing and that is what it is doing too? Help--I have a teenage daughter who washes alot of clothes.

I have 5 people here and need my washer. Might I add mine is a GWL11

The drain pump is jammed. Switch off and remove the plug from the wall socket. Tilt the machine back so you can look under it. On the right you will see a motor which looks like it is upside down. This is your drain pump. Remove the wiring harness from the pump and turn the pump clockwise while pulling back the little white plastic clip which holds the pump in place. Clean thoroughly and replace pump.

This worked for us! We were able to clear this pump and now it works just fine. Thanks so much for posting this. It saved us an expensive visit from a repair man. This made my day today! THANK YOU!

This is great it works and saves a $100 service call. I will be doing this about every 3 years as a maintenance item. Just one note to clarify things.
After pressing the little white clip, you have to twist the whole motor assembly COUNTER clockwise about a 1/4 turn. It then will pull straight out. You will see a mouse-sized ball of fuzz that has knocked itself together and is plugging the drain. Just pull the fuzz out. Then put everything back the way it was before. Be sure the motor assembly is correctly and fully twisted back into place; otherwise, it won't be completely sealed and you will have a water leak.

Push power button and start button together, push water level up than push start button, turn machine off at wall and unplug it, plug back in and start machine as usual, that may fix the problem, if not, suspect the ECU board is faulty

IWL16 leaves black specs on clothes

there could be something stuck in the machine between the two bowls. lifting the lid, removing the ring, agitator and inner bowl will easily check this. if the machine has become loud on spin, and the leak is actually from the bottom (more likely) then it could need seals and bearings replaced. don't run it too much more while leaking, electricity and water don't mix XD

**** buildup in top load washer. what to do

Unscrew the agitator and wipe out all accumulated muck. Screw agitator back on, and put through a rinse cycle with white vinegar and bicarbonate soda. This will flush any residual scum. You may have to repeat procedure every 6 months.

Well its a board problem you will need to get technician to fix this board, three resistors(R129,R130,R131) need to be changed for a 1MegOhm resistor.

This problem will often occur with a light load of clothes. The beeping is usually the unbalanced load alarm. Often, redistributing the clothes around the agitator and moving the agitator manually up and down and side to side to center it again will fix the problem. You may need to advance a new cycle to where it spins out to empty the washer and run the laundry again.
