I have a Samsung DV331AEW/XAA dryer that will not run. i have 240V L-L at the plug. the LCD works as normal, meaning it thinks it is drying clothes. the child lock is not on. the dryer is empty. it does not work in manual mode either. the door switch is good. when i push the play button, i hear two clicks in the control box above the drum. if you are facing the unit, it is on the left side mounted in the top. that is the only thing that happens. the drum belts is good, also. the motor, blower and heating element do not come on. does anyone have any ideas?

Jason... Did you ever get this resolved? I've got the exact same problem and have checked everything!! I'm thinking of replacing the thermistor, but don't know if that will do it. I also checked the resistance of the motor and it seemed to be within range. Wondering if you have any feedback on what you did to resolve your issue. Thanks!!

I ultimately found that it was the Thermostat PART NUMBER: DC47-00016A. The switch was good, the cord was good, and I bought a relay switch, but swapped the thermostat fuse first as it tested out with bad results.

Check to make sure your child lock is off first. Hold the time and signal buttons simultaneously for three seconds. Unlikely, but do check. Some of these dryers have a safety switch that the idler pulley has to engage to allow the dryer to run. I tried to find a schematic for this model but could not get one to tell if you do have a safety switch. Look at the arm of the idler pulley and see if it is contacting the switch actuator correctly. When a belt breaks or pops off, sometimes the arm of the pulley will move to the other side of the switch actuator and will not allow the dryer to run once a belt is reistalled. I would also look to see if a wire was knocked off of the motor switch when your belt came off. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

I have Samsung gas dryer model DV410. no heat, replaced two thermal fuse and hi low limit. Now it only works with timed cycle mode. the rest mode, it runs only for least the 5 minutes and shut off.

timed cycle mean dryer not on sensor dry mode. check wire connection on moisture sensor bars (i think you forget to put 2 wire connector put together). when you use other cycle dryer use moisture sensor to dry cloths so sensor not working dryer will stop in 5 minutes or so because dryer think there are no wet cloths to dry. hope this help you.

Samsung dryer won' shut off dv520aep/xaa

If it's in the timed cycle, the timer motor is probably bad, preventing the timer from advancing through the cycle.

If it's in the auto dry cycle, the moisture sensor could be bad, so the dryer thinks the load is still wet.

Where is the thermal shut off fuse located and what does it look like. DV331AEW/Xaa

The thermal fuse is located on the blower housing. You should check out this link to www.repairclinic.com
for a lot more info on this and other possible items that could cause no heat. The link is; http://www.repairclinic.com/Shop-For-Parts/a8b160c44d1067187/Model-DV331AEW-Samsung-Dryer-Fuse-Thermal-Fuse-Breaker-Parts

Drum will not spin.

first disconnect your cord from the dryer, and ohm out the cord. place your test leads to each end of each of the wires. you could have a bad cord. one side of the cord could still give 110 to your board. check to see if the broken belt switch is tripped. if all this checks out, then should be your relay board. the one above the drum.

I have a problem with my samsung dryer. The model number is DV330AEB XAA I have trouble drying sheets. The sheet will always twist up and not dry. I must take it out after 10 min and untwist it then...

THE PROBLEM IS WHEN YOU DRY THE SHEETS WITH OTHER CLOTHING THE SHEETS DON'T HAVE ENOUGH ROOM TO DRY SO THEY TWIST,SO I THINK IS BEST TO DRY THE SHEETS ALONG...
