Its not a RF problem.I could switch freqs all day long and it won't solve anything. The 3.5 mm plug does not make solid contact. When they start to go bad it sounds like a thunderstorn. It can't be depended on. Now we know why the broadcast industry refuses to use them.
This is probably interference in the wireless connection for the lavalier mic.
Try switching channels to find a clear one!
Or switch to a wired lav mic if that's practical.

Sennheiser goofed with this 3 conductor mini plug. It doesn't make perfect contact. Sending phantom power to the lav is hit or miss. Connectors corrode static static static all because the connector isn't making perfect contact.It isn't as good as a XLR for sure.
