Sounds like the 20m mixed frequency is slightly off tune in the front end and doesn't match the tuning knob setting. This likely needs a bit of tweaking of an oscillator to put it on the straight and narrow of the IF system.

SOURCE: INTERCHANGE MODULE

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume you are talking about the band modules, right? If so it will accept some in the 6m,2m,and a couple of the 70cm bands. The model numbers I know it will accept are as follows: FEX-767-2,-6,-70A and -70B. If your module is one of these they are interchangeable. BTW, all of these modules are presently discontinued I'm sorry to say. Hope this helps!

Radio power`s on but no transmit or receive on ssb however it will transmit with full power on fm

If your receiver was operating previously but now the SSB option is not working, very likely the sideband detector has failed. I'm not directly familiar with your Yaesu unit but, in most Yaesu transceivers, the SSB chip and control circuit (including diodes) is identified in print on the main board.

Not having the panel in front of me to look at, I cant be positive but it sounds like the selector knob itself may be out of position, as well as the switch may have come loose and rotated in position and was tightened in the wrong place.

Double check that "TSQ" is not enabled. In the menus you can fine "SQL" and select the type of squelch. If you have "TSQ" selected you'll only hear signals from radios that a re transmitting the CTCSS tone selected.
