Durabrand cd boombox

Check your cord first, make sure it's in good shape. Sometimes the main transformer goes out, and you can use a DC adapter to bypass the 120 V source. Could be a fuse, or something else in the power supply inside the unit.

They aren't sold to retail customers. Try at repair shops or use one from another radio, they are pretty much generic parts.

We have two of these with the same problem. The belt that drives the pick up reels is broken. We are trying to find a place to purchase new ones.

Radio Shack carries various replacements. Make sure you know how your broken one mounts because they can look the same, but there may be a variation that will prohibit you from connecting it. If you can, take the broken one with you to match up. If they do not have it, check with a local electronics shop. They may also have a replacement for you.

You need a power cord with AC 120V, 60Hz 20 Watts. You may be able to get this from your local Radio Shack.

Does it happen when playing cassette or radio? might have a problem with the speaker wires.

Durabrand is one of walmarts cheap electronics brands.. This boombox probably only costs $15-$20 off the shelf. Id just junk it.
