It took us a while to figure it out, but it's possible if you have an old model stylemaster WSM2420TCAWW, this is how you get to remove the front panel.

1) unscrew the cover between the dryer and the washer
2) there are small bolt-like screws behind the washer lid, use a wrench to unscrew them
3) now you can just slide the washer lid towards you, and it will come off

Hope this save someone some headaches!

SOURCE: How do you remove front panel to locate leak?GE Profile WPRE6100G

I believe you need to pry up slightly on the top and reach through the gap with a small screwdriver and press on the clips on either side to release the top and lift the top. Then there are two screws that hold the front to the sides and you should be able to lift the front off. Good luck.

Remove front panel ge spacemaker dryer

Here's the trick: The Spacemaker dryer is the same as many other GE dryers but is upside down!

1. Unplug the dryer.
2. Flip the dryer upside down so the white panel is now on top and the unfinished steel panel is on the bottom.
3. Remove the 2 screws that connect the bottom, white panel from the back and lift up to remove.
4. Pull off the Settings and Fabric knobs on the front of the dryer. Take off the front control panel (remove the 2 screws).
5. Remove the 2 screws that attach the front panel (located behind the control panel you just removed). Hold the dryer drum by the top edge and pull the front panel away (note that the panel will be hooked to the rest of the dryer at the bottom corners). DO NOT PULL AWAY ENTIRELY!
6. Disconnect the wiring that is attached to the front panel (these come apart easily by hand but you might want to mark the wiring so you know where to connect it when reassembling).

Ge front load washer do not drain

Disconnect power to machine. Remove bottom front panel by removing one screw from each lower corner of panel. Have a few old towels ready to catch water, and remove clamp at pump inlet. Fish out all the coins or other objects from the rubber boot pump inlet. Reassemble and test with the panel off first. If all OK and no leaks, replace panel.
