I have a magnavox 32mf231d lcd tv that shuts down after about 10 mins. If left alone it will restart by its self after a few seconds but only run for a couple of mins and then shut down again. If I unplug it for a few mins it will run for about 5 to 10 mins then shut down again. I placed a fan in the rear of the set and it runs a little longer before shutting down again. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

I have a sony KLV-S32A10 LCD television it turn off in few seconds.Can anybody help me in this problem.
All you need to do is remove the back cover, then remove the metal cover that covered the power supply. Watch tv w/o cover, it won't shut down again. Try it and post here if it works.
I had the ame problem.
Un plug set and with a small clean paint brusk clen out the all the air grills at the rear of the set. Mine looked clean but i manged to get a great deal of "hard" dust out of then using this method.

I have a sharp LC - 32D62U that is doing the same thing. but after the second time it shuts down the power light and OPC light on the front of the TV will bling in a pattern Both at same time then the power light twice, then both at same time and so on.. have no idea why
