Top Load GE Washer P563 (Model #WWSE5240G2WW) will not spin or agitate. Washer fills and drains properly, can hear the motor working fine, but wash basin does not spin or agitate during cycle.

Sounds like your selector switch is faulty. Going into the wrong cycle. A faulty door switch can also cause this. But chances are the timer/selector is giving the machine's control panel the wrong reading.

Check the "Suspension rod & spring assembly ". There is a set that is yellow and a set that is balck that attaches to the drum. They are spring loaded and one may have gone bad from the unbalanced condition. Here is a link to the black one. Here is a link to the yellow one.

The coupling needs to be replaced, it has broken in two pieces and cannot transfer power from the transmission. That part is around 25 bucks if you have a local appliance store, sears usually has to order them. But appliance repair shops usually keep them on hand, it's a common part..

Try cleaning the detergent draw somtimes this can cause water to spill out and ofcourse check the filter and exit pipe :)
