To be honest, I would send back to Columbia. Water resistant watches are not only tricky, but you risk losing the warranty on your watch as well.

Insert "watches" in the search box (top right) and the next page shows a watch with the title "timing" and underneath in says "PDF instruction manual for watches"
Click on this and a list of diagrams for the watches appears. Choose the one that is for your watch and down load.
Open watch caseback. Undo the contact covering the battery. Read the writings on battery and buy exactly the same one. Get the old battery out and replace with the new one exactly the same way as it was. Redo the contact. Put caseback back on. Reset the watch.
This is because you lost the coil spring when battery change took place. Coil spring works as a conductor to the membrane inside caseback and transmits the signal. If you can not find it, you will need to find your nearest watchmaker and ask for new coilspring. I am pretty sure that you think you did not lost anything, but I can assure you that you did. Coilspring is very tiny and hard to see when dropped and you can not hear it as well. In case if you find that spring, you have to open the watch and put it back in. There is a small hole in the watch movement and it is designed for coilspring.
