Depending on how hot you may be right. It is normal for the battery to heat up when you charge it. I have an RCA tablet that while the charge port (which doubles as the micro USB) fits tight and the battery still heats up to the point where it is hot to the touch but not to hot to hold. If your charging port is broken then the tablet will nont charge at all. If it is loose and not getting good connection then the battery will charge intermittently. Again either of these issues will not cause the battery to get abnormally hot. However, if there is an issue with the battery itself then it may get too hot. If so the charging circuit thermistor should cause the battery to stop charging.
could be software issue reset it would fix it:?
damage to ports both broken sounds unlikely
try usb plug into a different computer
the cables inside the tablet are loose or not connected
check for damage to ports and loose connections inside device
The power port is damaged - most likely the solder joints are loose or broken. You need to find a store where someone can open the case, order the new part for the tablet and then solder the new power port to the board.
Then it will be as good as new.
I have replaced power ports on laptops, phones and tablets.
Honestly, even if you could find the part (not likely - tablets are commodity items these days), you would need specialized tools to de-solder the remainder of the old port and solder the new port, and you would risk damaging other components because of the proximity of parts on these small circuit boards. If you want to take it on, research who actually builds the tablet and contact them about parts. A better option might be to find one with a broken screen or some such (check local 'for sale' sites) and try to swap only that part (if the charging port happens to be connected to a smaller 'side' board rather than the main board). Tough one. Good luck.
If it's just loose, you can snap it back in. If the port is broken off the ribbon though, you can always try to replace the broken part yourself first. search model name plus "repair guide" on any search engine. They will show details about about part replacement etc. in detail. There are other websites that sell all the replacement parts, one of the bigger ones is http://portatronics.com (646) 797 2838. Then for the repair itself you can venture to do it yourself, or better ask a friend who has done a similar repair before.
it is a very highly chance your charging port is broken on the inside or is loose but if you know the tablet still has some charge left in it you can try holding down the power button for 20-30 seconds and see if it turns on.
