My fisher and paykel paprika oven seems to heat too high (oven itself) to the point where I can't even cook anything without burning the top before the centre is cooked. It's driving me crazy. Whats wrong with it and how do I fix it please?

benypeny what that flash was from what I have seen over the years is your heating element on the back wall burning out. Remove the cover and you will see the element is no longer in 1 piece.

Yes the regulators/simmerstats are stuffed but are not hard to replace...but please turn off the power 1st when removeing the backing plate as you will kill yourself....yes you will.
Use a multimeter set on volts ac or a volt detector stick, test tester on a known live sourse 1st like a power point....switched on
