Black screen, sound ok. i replace y sus and z sus on pl4260n

I had the exact same problem,changed the Y sus board and fixed it

Just repaired my Hp PL4260N.
The Y SUS board can be defective and they cost about 70. plus shipping or a repair kit on Ebay and if you are are replacing the board yourself, it is the board on your left whenthe tv facing down and you are at the bottom of the screeen

Its probabaly one of the three boards, X-SUS board,Y-SUS board, Z-SUS Board.

Try to check the X-SUS board, Y-SUS Board, and the Z-SUS Boards. One of them is not Working. Hope this tips helps your TV problem.

check the Y-sus and Z-sus board

No picture as in a black screen? or a picture with snow (noise)? If there is no picture at all (black screen) with no menu display when menu button is pressed, then it sounds like the y-sus and the z-sus boards are faulty..These are the boards located usually on the left and right edges of the screen. They are fused and these can blow, severing the supplt to the boards. These boards are used to deflect the electrical charge across the screen. If you have no picture then it sounds like both boards are down

your tv has one the Y buffers defective.which half is black,the botton or the top? i believe that you have to call the repairman .

The problem is the "Y-SUS" board. It is inside the set on the left side with several aluminum heat sinks, under the left side brace bar. You can order this board from Union Electronics at www.ued.com .Search for part number: TNPA3243AB-PA

It lists for about 115$
