You must first determine if the audio in the television set is still working. You will need to connect the television audio output to a stereo input. Then try using the volume control and see if the circuit responds normally. If the circuit responds normally , you have a problem with the television speakers. They can can be serviced or replaced. If the circuit does not respond normally you have a much more serious problem in the audio circuits. This is usually found on the main controller board. The probelm could be with cold solder joins, component failure, or a bad audio processor ic. These problems will have to be serviced by a service center. They will have all the correct service information to test the television and repair it. You can call Dynex customer support at this telephone number 1-800-305-2204 between the hours of 7am-12am CST. Give them the model number of your television and tell them about the problem with a loss of audio. They will be able to tell you how you can get the television tested and repaired. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

This problem might be related to a bad control board that controls the Audio and Video and other functions. It costs $180.00 to replace. Not worth fixing
