I have a 50'vizio HDTV 20A, the tv was flashing than it just stopped working. Took to a repair shop they replaced the power supply. Told them about the flashing that was going on (edges of the objects on the screen had multiple edges, ie "flashing"). Repair said it was the main logic CTRL board. So, they gave me an old one for free. The flashing has continued. Replaced again from an online tv repair parts store...... Well still flashing... Any ideas? Please help

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

SOURCE: Vizio L32 32 in. HDTV LCD HDMI input not working

I recently had the same problem with my vizeo hdmi port # 1 going bad. Tried everything to fix and called vizeo. There solution for a master reset was turn off tv and unplug from the wall. then hold down the power button for 30 secs and let go. plug the tv back in and hold down the volume down and input select buttons down on side of the tv for 15 secs. release the buttons and turn the tv on after powering down all the components connectd to the tv. If this does not work they told me you need to have it sericed for a bad hdmi input. Hope this info helps anyone out there. It didn't work for me. Its a bummer cause the tv is well taken care of and only 18 months old. Best of luck to all others.

Logic Control D Board got nothing to do with this problem. This is your main power supply gone bad(usually not the sub power supply). I just repaired my VIZIO by replacing main power supply. Just remove back cover and your board will be right in the middle of the screen. Just get board part/serial # and google it. My best price was through eBay(around $100). Everything is fine now.

Vizio tv screen went gray

Hi Mike,
If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

My Vizio picture went out and tv made a loud noise. It doesnt show visual ane no audio. Its a VX32L HDTV 10A model.

Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. It's very possible that it maybe a bad capacitor or transformer on the power supply board that made the loud noise. But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can'tactually look at the tv over the internet. I can only make guesses with the symptom.

You have a few choices:

1. If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.

2. If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you red light flashing codes, circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists.Usually, cost under $20. And most cases the new part cost less than $15.

3. Pay a TV shop to do the repairs. It maybe costly, but get an estimate of how much they will charge. That way you can decide if it worth repairing or replacing the whole TV.

I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

Screen flashing

I finally hoisted the TV off the wall and took it to the shop because this TV never "warmed up" such that the flashing went away. $400 later and with some board replaced... we're back in business.

HELP PLEASE Vizio Plasma tv broken again - possible driver board?

This could cause by the power supply or the mainboard.

- If the LED stay Green when you turn on the TV. But you can not turn it off, in this case the main board has failed. Replace the mainboard will fix the problem.

- If the LED light always stay at Orange, you can not turn on of off. In this case the mainboard also has failed.

- If you turn on the TV you will hear the power supply click on the LED is green then it click off the light turn Orange. In this case the power supply has failed.

Which boards did the repair shop replace?

Hope this will help.
