Follow the next steps: Left click on Start Right click on My computer Left click on properties Left click on Hardware tab Left click on Device Manager Find the Moden sign Right click on it Finally left click on the uninstall Good luck!

Try to install the same driver for Windows xp
in windows 7 in Compatibility Mode

For running in Compatibility Mode in windows 7
Right Click the app and select the properties
select the Compatibility Tab
select the os =windows xp sp3
and dont forget ti tick "Run ad Administrator"

I can't install modem drivers for SB 5100 motorola (usb) on my laptop having windows vista. An error is showing that no cable found connecting the modem and computer. Can someone help me how to set this...

I also would recommend you use ethernet since you do not have to install any software to make it work.

You will need to reboot the cable modem when ever you change how its connected also Ethernet/USB or if it was connected to a different PC.
