SOURCE: I have a Ricoh Aficio 1035 stapler problem.

if you press the finishing button on the display does it so stapler function there ? or try taking the staple cartridge out and then close the door on the finisher and see if it says out of staples. if it does it knows it has a stapler unit.

SOURCE: I have a Ricoh 551 Copier with the Booklet

Hello,

I was able to locate a service manual that should help you. It has sections for the folding mechanizm and how to adjust it. I would write it all out here for you, but sometimes pictures are better then words and this service manual has both. The manual is not Ricoh 551 specific, but it is compatible with the unit so the instructions should be the same.

How do I reload staples into my Xerox WorkCentre 7530?

You did not indicate finisher? Xerox MFPs' come with the most finishing options of any manufacturer.... I included instructions for all of them below. Enjoy!
Solution : Load Staples in the Professional Finisher With Booklet Maker The stapler in the booklet maker uses two Staple Cartridges labeled R2 and R3. Booklet stapling requires that both Staple Cartridges be free of jammed staples.
WARNING: Do not perform this procedure when the printer is copying or printing.
  1. Make sure the printer has stopped copying or printing.
  2. Open the Finisher Front Door.

  3. Squeeze the orange R2 and R3 levers together and pull the Staple Cartridge unit out of the Finisher until it stops.

NOTE: The Staple Cartridge unit does not detach from the Finisher.

  4. Grasp the orange tabs on both sides of the Staple Cartridge and lift the cartridge out of the Staple Cartridge Unit.

  7. When finished, return the Staple Cartridge Unit to its original position.

2 sided booklet option

If your printer does not have a duplex unit then the printercannot print double sided pages automatically.
You can print double sided pages but you have to do it one page at a time.
First print Page 1 then place the page back into the paper tray, but turn thepage upside down and the print Page 2.
Then print page 3 on one side then page 4 on the other side and repeat for therest of the document.
I suggest you try a test page first, to get the printing the right way up onboth sides of the page so it reads correctly.

Making a booklet out of a multi-page PageMaker file

many questions, the answer should be yes and all is in the driver settings but it all depends on if you have the correct driver installed and configured correctly for your copier and if your finisher is a booklet finisher. if you have every thing laid out in page maker correctly and the driver is setup correctly then it should do just fine.

My printer is printing back to front. Have I pressed a wrong button or is there a problem with my printer?

This is usually a setting in the printer driver. Open your Printers and Faxes from the Start menu (Windows XP), right click on your printer and choose properties. Look in the tabs for printing preferences and then look in there for reverse print (or something similar) then deselect the option. If it is already deselected, it could be the application you're using has set up settings for the printer associated with it. In this case, you would check for the same thing from within the application that is causing the issue before you print.

I am working with a Ricoh Aficio 3260 machine. I have been sent a 20-page Publisher document laid out in Landscape, each page is set up as 8.5 x 5.5. I want the Ricoh to produce a booklet stapled...

Well, I don't have a document in that format exactly to play with, but assuming you are using the PCL 5c driver, it should be a fairly simple task. If your using another driver (ie: RPCS) then it will be similar, just a little different looking dialog box.
Open your document, Select "Print", select "properties", you can change the "orientation", and "layout" (pages per sheet), 'duplex', and staple (assuming you have a booklet finisher installed and configured in your printer properties). There is an icon in the left corner that changes with the settings and should help you with the them. Obviously, you should only print 1 set, or even just a page or 2 to check the output. These types of things are always a bit of trial and error until you have done it a couple times. I hope this helps
