I received a DVD containing movie clips. It won't play on a standard DVD player or on my computer. I did get it to work on my DVD recorder and it played fine. On my computer it comes up as Intervideo Win DVD4. I downloaded VLC media player and I have managed to save the files from the DVD onto my computer and play them through this format.
I want to take a copy of the files to show to friends either on a standard DVD player or on a computer with Windows Media Player. What can I do to produce a disc which has a copy of the files in an easily readable format?
Hi, it depends on the type of movie clips you have on the disk. its possible they maybe avi files. To play on most dvd players you would need to convert them to mpeg 2 which is the format for dvd movies, you can google for software, or if you need more help go to videohelp.com. Normski
You can use a DVD ripper tool to copy the DVD into digital files so that you can play the files on common video players. You can rip DVD to avi, mp4, flv...
