Scanner program for HP PSC 1610

Im trying to use the scanner on this printer and it is asking for a program. I don't fave the disk that came along with it. Can you provide me the system so I can let it run and scan with my computer?

same problem,I now found out on google that hp 1610 buttons do not respond to vista,you have to scan through 'paint" click on the MSN logo on bottom left hand corner,click proggrammes,click accessories,then click paint,you can scan from there and then e mail out or save

HP PSC 1610 cartridge alignment failure. now what?

after alignment process it asks to put the alignment sheet on the scanner glass .. are you putting it rite way ??? try putting it other way round.. it should be facing down also

How to install hp psc 1610 scanner

Click on the Link to download the driver :

Select your OS;
Select the Full feature Driver;
Click on Download ;
Save to your desktop;
and then run the software;

Remember do not connect the USB cable until it ask you to do so .

Unable to install SCAN functions for HP PSC 1610

If you are having issues using your PSC 1610 on the Vista operating system there is actually an easy workaround using "paint" (I'm using "SnagIT").

Check it out:

For whatever reason you can't use the actual button on the printer/scanner but when you open paint you can scan the doc from your computer.

Scanner Failure

I don't want to know anything. I want, (wanted) you to attempt what I had suggested. I am not positive it will work and I did not want you to score me low but would rather have no score at all.
1. Disconnect the Printer/scanner 2. Uninstall the software. START- CONTROL PANEL -either ADD AND REMOVE PROGRAMS or PRINTER AND FAXS _ Highlight printer and tell it to REMOVE PRINTER. 3. Hook the printer back up. Run the install software that has the correct driver for the version of windows that you are using.
The HP link for your model that I provided to you is to download the software to install , if you ether have the wrong driver or have lost the install disk ,if you ever had one. Look at what version of windows you are using and see if the disk states that it is for that version of windows, like Xp, VISTA, 98, etc. If it does not you must download the correct software. I was attempting to avoid asking all of the needed questions such as; Is this a new problem or have never had the scanner work correctly? New computer or same one? Computer Make and model? Version of windows that you are using? All of these things enter into a problem such as yours. I hope this helps. |:)
