Hi,
After cleaning up my ACER Tablet PC laptop (TravelMate C 310), some of the keys on the keyboard stop working. I cannot type Letters O,P,Z,1,3, backspace key, space key etc. Please help.
My T J and a bunch of other keys stopped working, most of the keys still work, but it is impossible to work with the ones that are dead. I contacted Acer and they told me to call during office hours, I will try that nextMy T J and a bunch of other keys stopped working, most of the keys still work, but it is impossible to work with the ones that are dead. Re: Some keys of Acer Travelmate C 310 is not working
Replace the keyboard easily available for cheap. Get full manual at Acer website but replacement is easy, be careful of the clips holding the connection to the motherboard, don't remove just slide upward to release..

On the acer travel mate only some models came with wireless and others did not. If yours has wireless the switch should be located right on the front of the computer. I hope this helps
Select Notebook>TravelMate>TravelMate C110
Under the drivers tab, you will find all the drivers you need for your laptop. Don't forget to select the Operating system or else the drivers will not show up.
You could try booting in safe mode. Press F2 during Post startup to enter the set up utility. You can navigate to the Security Settings and change your supervisor password. You can find this info at: http://www.elhvb.com/mobokive/edwin/laptops/Acer/TMC110SG.PDF Pages 39-47 will walk you thru the steps.
you can try changing the output of the travelmate, to VGA Or External Device.
ensure you have the correct output lead from computer to projecter. Then on your keyboard you should have a button that changes the output. i.e numerical 5-6-7 or 8. usually says LCD/VGA et,c.
failing this try altering the output in the systems bios setup.
you can enter this by pressing F2 Or esc at bootup.
if your unsure, and none of this helps, i,d suggest visiting acers site. and downloading the user manual(s)
Ebay is a good place to start. To replace it. Take out the screw on the back labeled "KB." Then on the front, there are three tabs on top of the keyboard (closest to the screen). Take a pen and pull them towards you. Then take the keyboard out and put the other one in.
