My old PhotoFun Studio 5.1 worked fine, until I bought Lumix ZS30 and installed PhotoFun Studio 9.1 PE. Installation went well, registered all folders, I can see all thumbnails, but unable to see the pictures. Panasonic support unable to solve the problem and said: You have too man folders! My old 5.1 was ok with the same number of folders. I have Win. XP PC... Any suggestions? Thanx

If you google your camera model, you will find a location to download software for this camera. The Panasonic Support site is a good starting place..

Kodak has a free photo viewing an touchup software downloadable so you will use their printing service. Another is Picaso by Adobe. Both of these are easier and better than those supplied with camersa. Even Microsoft XP or Vista computer come with a good viewer. Go to Start/Programs/Microsoft Viewer(or some such).

Just go & download the free Google Picasa 3 program. It is a good viewer & downloads images from a wide range of camers.

SOURCE: Downloading pictures to my pc

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

You can download the manual from the manufacturer's web site at

Lumix DMC ZS30 vertical lines on display. Is it display or something else?

Since the pictures are ok, it doesn't appear to be the sensor. What happens when you bring up the menu? Do you see the lines then? If so, then it most likely is the display.

Your best bet may be a card reader.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa.

You don't need any special software.

Do you need it?
A Windows computer does not need software to take images from the camera. It also has built in image viewer.
From the Web you can down load free image manipulators such as Irfanview or Picasa, the Gimp to name but three
