I have a Cingular C2000 LG phone and rec ently had it unlocked so I could use it in Honduras. I had no problems when I initially arrived and put in the SIM card from my old phone and could make all calls. Now, however, it is blocking one number beginning with "453) and when I dial it says "Conditional Divert Activated" and then followed by "Alert No Answer". I finally figured out the password for this phone (was set at 0000) and changed it but cannot disengage the Cancel All Barrings when I go to Call Barring Services on the Security settings menu. My manual (printed from the internet) says that the barring password functIion is required when you use the Call Barring function (which I never set). The password is obtained from the service provider when you subscribe to this function (which I did not subscribe to). I find several solutions on-line all having to do with entering **'s and a number but I'm not sure which solution is the one for me. Do you know anything about this function and what I can do to turn it off? When I go to Cancel All Barrings and enter my new password it says "Request Fail". I can call all other phone numbers in Honduras but not the 453 numbers - which I could call when I first got here. My husband used the phone a bit after I got here and maybe he hit something - he does not recall - and that instituted the conditional divert activation. I cannot ask for help as I live on an island and there are no service techs or reps here. Please, can you tell me how to turn this function off.
Have you tried contacting your service provider to enquire as to if they are blocking the 453 number and not your phone? Are you sure your service is working "local" i.e when you phone someone are you phoning via the local mobile service or is it routed via your mobile service from wherever you come from to honduras? You could also try doing a phone reset.
Hi,
The phone reset should be in the phone setup options.
You'r only option may be to contact your service provider as the problem may NOT be your phone or its settings. The fact that it originally worked may have triggered something at the service provider or the service took a while to activate on your phone!

Here, in Honduras on an island, contacting the server is not an option. I know that the 453 number worked initially and I did not have the conditional divert activated message. I am working with a local service, TIGO, and can call all other numbers and do not get this message.
What would have to be done to do a phone reset?

I'm not getting any further help here! We run our phones on phone cards so the provider is not going to block my calls. How do I get rid of Conditional divert activation? Surely, for the extra money I had to pay to talk to someone, you can come up with an answer. There were several "codes" to use when I checked Cingular's site, I just didn't know what to use or what they would do.
don't know why my commnents are posted Sept. 17th and 18th as it is still the 17th. Give me some help please.
