Look on the roll mark on the barrel near the chamber end. You will find the model there. I am guessing it is a model 32. If it is an ocatagonal barrel pump action 22 lr caliber rifle it is a model 32 Marlin. If you are looking for the year it was manufactured, that is not the model is, like when talking about cars. Contact Marlin Firearms customer service (now part of Remington Arms) for date of manufacture.
It would depend on if it is an Eddystone (a subsidiary of Remington), Remington, or Winchester.
Don't think it's an Eddystone, as it's outside the serial number range.
Who was the manufacturer?
If you will call or email us the serialnumber and model number we can determine the approximate age of your firearm.
Serialnumbers were not required until 1968. For models without a serialnumber, we may be able to determine the age by the 2-3 letters that are stamped on the barrel.
