Older models of some devices have the IMEI number printed underneath the battery. Knowing how to remove the battery requires more information. You can use the Comment menu to add information to your question.

Without know the manufacturer and model of your tablet, it is difficult to answer your question.

Go to Settings, About phone or tablet, Status. IMEI should be there along with other phone specific information

you cant have a imei because your tablet is not equipped with a 3g modem

You mean the MEID and UICC ID. Usually you can see this under settings

Go into Settings > About / About Tablet

This may or may not be the case with your tablet I would check there first. Otherwise I believe it requires some disassembly to access the battery.
