Activate du sim card

I just got a nokia N95 a few days ago and have experienced problems when I tried to change the PIN code on it as I was advised to do. Phone kept on rejecting the 'verify pin code' although I tried several times. Eventually it loked up (off course arghhhhh) and requested the PUK code and unlocked. Every time I tried to change the code it kept rejecting the 2nd attempt at verifying the code and would request the PUK code again. I tried switching the phone off and on again... but same thing happened. Can no longer use the phone as it keeps on asking me a new pin code and verifying that same pin code. It accepts the first new pin code but rejects the verifying one.... Vicious circle. In the end I decided to pull the battery and my sim card out of it and switching phone back on... all went well so I inserted my sim card back into the device. Now it says SIM card rejected and there's nothing I can do.

Hi

You can obtain the puk code by contacting your phone service provider.

If you have entered the puk code wrong too many times (tried to guess it) the sim card has disabled itself, and its useless, you will have to contact your phone service provider to obtain another sim card.

sim card rejected that means sim card is not anymore. and then i can suggest you is only you buy new sim card. but your phone is safe and secure. nest time whenever you got problem of puk code then contact to your sim card service center and if your phone got locked then try my tipshttp://www.fixya.com/support/r4893613-unlock_code_nokia_phone

Hi,

IF you put PUK code many times depending on the model it wil lock the sim card. This is because to prevent unathorised person using your SIM card.

Default PIN code for nokia mobile is 0000
PUK code will be given by the service provider only.

Please call your service provider or go to service provider office,they will assist you in this issue.And they will have a security check like name,Phone number and other information to check weather the SIM card belongs to you only.Then they will assit you.

It reject the Sim means it locked to Network,You need to unlock it,get the Unlock code at here
http://www.mobile-unlocker.com/ and Unlock it.

Hi sir, 1) It asks the pin code since you or others set it in the settings-> security setting->PIN code request. If its ON state, You have to change to off mode. That time it will ask you the pin code. If you don't know the pin try with 1234 or 12345. Remember don't try more than tree times. It will get locked.Or Call the service provider for of your SIM from other mobile and get the PIN code from them.
2)If its restarting again then the problem is with the mobile OS(software). It can be solved only after changing the OS. For that you have to go to a Mobile Service Shop.

Hello m_cjharold,

With regard to PIN Code, it is the code of your SIM card. (example: AT&T, Cingular, Vodafone, Globe, Smart etc.)

If ever you have no idea what it is or if you forgot it, you can contact your service provider for the PUK code wherein you can enter once you used all the chances to enter the PIN Code.

To make sure, if your N95 is unlocked, meaning you can use different SIM Card, try using another SIM card and it should work fine. However, if it asked for Phone Code, it means you need the Security Code of the Nokia N95 not the PIN Code.

your PUK-code and PIN-code were delivered together with your sim-card. when the sim-card asks for a PUK, it is blocked until the PUK-code is entered. if you cannot find the PUK-code anymore, it is advisable to go to your service provider (cell phone dealer) and ask for a new sim-card with the same number. hopefully you had your contacts saved to your phone and not to the sim-card, because it's very unlikely that any data on a blocked SIM can be retrieved.

PUK means "personal unlocking key" .

The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.

You need to call your phone service company, they can retrieve the puk code from a database
for free.

In your case you need to contact your SIM card phone provider technical support to unlock the SIM.


The PIN and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone.

If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone should not ask for the PUK anymore.
