Hi, there appears to be a black vertical line about 8cm wide near the middle of the screen. In the black line are flickering vertical red and green lines. Apart from this the tv picture is fine and can be seen either side of the line. Is it serious and is it worth fixing or too expensive? any help appreciated. melanie
Hi all .ive had the same problem,a thick black line down screen.sometimes it flickers from top to bottom and other permantly in view.but i have solved it.forget your ic boards and taking apart tv.have you got either a ps3 or wii connected to tv.if so unplug power lead from socket and relocate in seperate socket.make sure the lead is completely free of any other leads and you might just find this works.i think the power lead creates some sort of frequency that the tv picks up .good luck hope it works
