Using Bartender software and a I4208 printer It won't print on aprox 1/10th inch of the leading edge of a 1in x4in label. it also won't present after the print job. any help would be great. Thanks
In Seagull driver/Bartender software, Present Distance may be called Tear Off and can be adjusted after checking Post-Print actions in Document Properties, Stock tab. Standard setting is 0.40 inches.
On the same tab, right below that, is "Top Offset", and that adjustment may get you the lower Start of Print you want. Ok to try negative number here.

try using a seagull sceintific driver.
also if you are sending graphics (barcode) instead of an actual barcode decoded font, the printer will process as a graphic.
If serial, speed up to max, if parallel it should print quite fast

Tu necesitas utilizar comandos DPL. Pero si vas a utilizar graficos o windows true type fonts, tu necesitas un cartucho de memoria ram o flash. You need to use DPL commands. But if you use graphics or windows true type fonts, you need a RAM or flash cartridge.

Do you have Zebra emulation firmware installed? If not, your printer will not understand the command language that you are sending to it. Datamax has its own language and you will need a branch in your code to support that if the printer does not work with ZPL.

Definitely. possible solution match the width of your label and ribbon. if your ribbon is wider for .5 inch it should be good.
1. check your spindle alignment, printhead alignment and rotate the green knob on the printhead while printing so that you'll see the difference.
