I have a olevia 237 T11, the thing was i couldnt change the channels w/remote or the front of tv to go up or down but if i put the # in it would change. called olevia they told me to do a furmware update. so i tryed it. i tryed step 1 and it ran for about 1 min. the tv turned off on it own and it said flash faled. and now the tv wont turn back on. tryed about 4 other furmware updates. and i checked to see if any of the caps blow out,the blue light is on the front of the tv. is there a way i can get the software to get this thing working?

Go to Best Buy and buy the DirectTV Universal Remote Control Model RC64 ($20). It will control all the functions on both the Olevia TV and the RCA Satellite box, except the A-B-C-D buttons for the User Guide. It's codes are:

Seems that the company went bankrupt last year and their website (where you would have had to go to download their firmware) is no longer in operation. I think that means you're out of luck, unfortunately :(
I sure wish I had known that before I bought my own Olevia set that needs service now, but at the time I found lots of good reviews of the sets but no news of bankruptcy ever came up.
