Just unplug the cluch wiring harness plug thats it ....thats the electrical switch wires.....just unplug the AC clutch plug-in wires and it disables the clutch. Simple as that.

2006 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 4x4. What fuse runs the 4x4 please?

It isn't specified. There is more than one fuse that covers transmission. You would need an auto electrician or a transmission expert to connect a pro grade scan tool computer and diagnose if the switch or solenoid is faulty. A scan tool at this level is bi-directional and can command solenoids to operate and confirm that they do.

If the noise is the ac clutch bearing you can replace the ac clutch without replacing the compressor on most models.

A/C 2001 Dodge Dakota compressor wont come on

Check the high side ac clutch cut out switch, witch could be in back of compressor,or in a high side line.By pass the switch to see if the compressor will come on.Also the ac module could be gone out.First check the ac clutch relay,or better yet swap it out with a relay just like it,same number will be on the relay, this will tell you if it is the relay.

Dodge Ram AC not blowing cold

By pass both pressure switches one at a time with small wire or a paper clip. If comperssor kicks on replace the swich that you bypassed.
if not it could be the fan clutch ot the compressor. Compressor runs about $400.00

1500 Conversion Van AC stays on, van overheats. Pulled the AC clutch fan relay and it fixed the overheating thus far, but really need the AC this time of the year. Please help.

ONE SUGGESTION COULD BE TO SWAP THE RELAY FOR ANOTHER TO SEE IF THIS FIXES THE PROBLEM. IF IT DOESN'T, THEN PERHAPS THE COMPRESSOR CLUTCH IS STUCK IN THE CLOSED POSITION. UNPLUG THE CLUTCH TO SEE IF THE COMPRESSOR STOPS. HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA AND FOR AN HONEST RATING. GOOD LUCK
