EVERY CHANNEL I TRY TO CHANGE IT TO SAYS THIS CHANNEL HAS NOT BEEN APPROVED FOR VIEWING. FPA stands for Front Panel Lock. It makes it so kids don't push all the buttons on the front of your TV. The power button on the TV will still work and the remote will still function as normal.
Check out remotes.com or simply buy a universal remote at wal-mart walgreens, radio shack.......

front panel was locked by accident and we do not have the original remote control only an after market and ir does not access the menu, can I unlock it without the remote control?
ok this totally stressed me out but I figured it out and my TV is ON!! I purchased a really cheap universal remote at a .99 cent store. Sat in front of the TV and followed the directions on the manual for my new remote, keep in mind there was a red light lit on the TV, when all directions on connecting the remote with the TV were complete I pressed on and the TV turned on. I hope this helps!!!!!
