Maytag wash load sensor does not work on hot water

The washer senses the size of the load and adds the correct amount of water for the load size. If your washer is not filling with hot water then may be the hot water valve has been turned off or closed. Also the the hot water connector on the back or inside the washer could be defective or clogged. Hope this helps.

I have a GE front load washer and it says "load sense", what does this mean? Model number GFWR4800F1WW

It means the washer makes an estimate of the size of the load, and can adjust the water level to suit, if you make that selection on the controls. Saves water use.

Kenmore 11025102310 washer isnt working. I press the start button, and the sensing button lights up for just a second and there is a couple of minutes of a grinding type of noise but then nothing.

SENSING Page 5

When the START/PAUSE/Unlock Lid is pressed, the washer will first perform a self-test on the lid lock mechanism. You will hear a click, the basket will make a slight turn, and the lid will unlock briefly before locking again. Once the lid has locked the second time, the washer will use short, slow spins to estimate the load size. These sensing spins may take 2 to 3 minutes before water is added to the load and you may hear the hum of these spins. If the sensing light is on, then washer is working properly. You will hear the motor turn the basket in short pulses to thoroughly wet the load. The washer will then move the load briefly, pause to allow water to soak in to the load, and resume adding water. This process may repeat until the correct amount of water has been added for the load. You may also hear water flowing through the dispenser, adding detergent to the load.

NOTE: Avoid opening the lid during sensing. The sensing process will start over when the washer is restarted. The sensing light may also come on during the Soak and Wash portions of the cycle. This is normal.

If there's no water, then Page 13

Washer won't run or fill, washer stops working, or wash light remains on (indicating that the washer was unable to fill appropriately)

Check for proper water supply.

Both hoses must be attached and have water flowing to

inlet valve.

Both hot and cold water faucets must be turned on.

Check that inlet valve screens have not become clogged.

Check for any kinks in inlet hoses, which can restrict water flow.

Or you have an inlet valve that is not working

What does load sensing mean

Load sensing means that the machine will automatically set the load size determined by the weight of the load at first fill.

I have a Maytag Centennial top load washer. When washing in normal or heavy with large or super load size, the washer remains in sensing mode. Some water does start to fill, but never reaches wash cycle....

This unit does not handle a super large load as it advertised. When you put a super large load, the sensor is over-sized and will not move on the next cycle.

Maytag top loader won't agitate. will fill and spin

Hello,

Try this:
When the washer should be agitating, try turning your load size switch back and forth a few times. If you are on a medium load, going to a larger load should cause it to begin filling again, going to a smaller size should start the motor for agitate. If this works, your pressure / water level sense switch is okay, but the switch for load size is faulted / or is on its way out. If you went from a medium load, to a higher load, then your pressure switch is faulted as well.

How do you select the load size on the Maytag Bravos Top load washer?

This machine is equipped with technology that allows it to sense the load size and will use the appropriate amount of water for that load. Takes the guesswork out!

Maytag PAV2300 Top load washer

check your hose from the side of the tub all the way up to the water selector knob. if its loose or has even a pin sized hole in it, it will cause the maching not to sense it has reached the level selected.
