When in shooting mode the LCD screen has colored horizontal lines scrolling through it and only shows red and amber lights for shooting. When you depress the shutter key it records either black or the colored lines. I can play back the pictures that are on the memory chip.

we can have your issue resolved in no time, just let us know what is the model number of your camera as well as the brand.

still the best way to resolve this issue is by resetting the camera to factory default, this is illustrated in the manual that came with the device.

This tv have problems with it Tuner signal board.Take it back,where u buy it.Ask for a new tv replacement.U should not have any colors scrolling lines in the LCD screen panel at all.

Image on LCD jumps

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

Shooting mode will not operate

Your camera has a defective CCD imager. Please return the camera to Canon in New Jersey and they will replace the CCD at no charge to you. This is a known issue and should be covered under extended warranty. Good luck my friend. Joe Weibel customelectronics.org
