The DIMM is a removable memory chip installed for adding additional memory. You'll have to replace it. Look in your manual for how to change the DIMM. You can usually remove it and see if the printer works. If you don't see the message again, then you should replace the chip.

As the message says, DIMM 1 failed. It's pretty straight forward fix for a tech. So the cost should be minimal for the labor and whatever the replacement DIMM costs.
Mem test failure replace Dimm 0 or Mem test failure replace Dimm 1
If either of the are the messages displayed, the problem lies with the mother board (formatter).
DIMM 0 = On Board Memory - cannot be changed.
DIMM 1 = Add On Ram - Can be Changed
Make Sure the printer firmware is up to date FIRMWARE
Most Likely the formatter board would require replacing.
It would not surprice me if you have a defective formatter board. This is a very commen problem with this machine. Officialy you have to replace the formatterboard but there is also an other way to fix it. Put the formatterboard in to a preheated oven 190 degrees Celcius (350 fahrenheit) for 8 minutes. 8 out of 10 times it works fine fine and the machine is up and running. If this does not work you still can replace the formatterboard.

Quite literally what it says. You have a fatal printer memory problem. As the printer is new call your dealer, or HP directly, to get this sorted out under replacement / warranty ASAP.
