3 flashes is a GREAT symptom report. We need some more than that, but it does give us a direction.
If this is a "Service Call Error", it will be accompanied by an on screen message that includes a "6000" error code.
Here are the possible solutions....
- Timing sensor unit (QM2-1213)
- Timing **** disk film (QC1-4833)
- Feed roller ***'y (QL2-0598)
- Platen unit (QM2-1215)
- Logic board ***'y (QM2-1548)*1
- PAPER FEED MOTOR (QK1-0550)
These solutions are not for the novice, but are user servicible for many out there.
If this is a "Operator Call Error", it will also be accompanied by on screen error codes

Solution: Remove the jammed paper, and press the Resume/Cancel
button.
OR
Front door closed. [1250] Open the paper output tray.
