    Is it repairable?

  • Brad Brown Oct 07, 2013

Of course it is but it is going to need some thorough diagnotic work to locate the things that are damaged. The cost of having that done could be more that a new set.

I have the same problem. I finally convinced JVC's tech support to help me out (they **** by the way) and I got the schematics for all the boards in the unit. From looking at them I believe it is the Digital Signal Board. I will post results soon.

SOURCE: JVC LT-32P679 Blinking Power Light, Automatic Shutoff

1. Hold [menu] and [vol-] button on the side of the TV
2. while holding these, press the [power] button on the side of TV (NOT remote)
3. blue light comes ON and stays ON
4. wait 10 seconds then let go of [menu] and [vol-]
5. wait another 30 seconds and some type of picture should appear

I think this is right. I got it from the JVC call centers guys so sorry if I missed or messed up a step.

SOURCE: My JVC LT-47GZ78 will not

The blinking indicates that the protection system of the power board from the tv has detected a short on one of its outputs and has cut the power to it to prevent further damage - the clicking is made by the main power relay being disengaged, repeatedly, by the protection.
You should count the blinks - it's an indicator of what might be faulty. If the blinking is continuous then the problem is either in the control processor or the power source itself. To find out which and replace the appropriate board the tv will have to be opened and inspected. If you;re lucky it will be just the electrolytic capacitors on the power board. This is how you replace them

If there's more then you will have to check the voltages on the power board to find out what elsehas failed . If you can't do that then it's time to call a repairman.

Delonghi En 720 will not react when switching it on. Basic checkingis done, but what do I do next?

If you have checked the power switch and thermal fuses and they are functioning properly, the next step would be to check the power supply board. If the board is not providing power to the main control board, the machine will not turn on. Check for any visible signs of damage or burn marks on the power supply board. You can also use a multimeter to check if the board is providing the correct voltage to the main control board. If the power supply board is faulty, you may need to replace it. If the power supply board is functioning correctly, then the issue may be with the main control board or the display board. In that case, it may be best to consult a professional technician for further assistance.

How can I tell if maker is wired for 220 or 120

If its been changed to 220V plugging it into 120V won't damage anything, it just won't work. Replace the plug with a 120V plug end and plug it in. If it works its120 if it doesn't, its either a 220V setup, or you have a blown fuse in the unit/power supply or some other defect.

Where can I fix a circuit board in Spain or UK

I'm sorry but that sounds like a total loss. International power stanarf is 220v but US is only 120v. Likely all electronic circuitry is burned out. It would be cheaper to get it replaced since the board, motors and anything else electric will need to be replaced. Next tome get an international adapter that dials down 220v to 120v if you order anything else from US.

Plugged 120V appliance into 220V socket

Its dead, and whatever you do, DO NOT plug it into any power again, it could cause a fire so fast that you would be in mortal danger.
Most of the world uses 'real' levels of power, your american appliances cannot handle it.

I accidentally plug my Wii that I got from US from 120v to 220v. I got the converter but I mistakenly plug it to the wrong voltage:(. I heard the poop sound. Did I burn the power adapter or the wii it...

You have most likely cooked the Wii itself, To check connect the correct power adapter to the correct system and in the correct power source ( 120v or 220v ) if it works all good if not you know you cooked it. If you are unable to test in this manner have it checked by a qualified technician.

Here in Australia we have different power sockets and power supply As I understand the machine I have has 120V 60HZ 1025 W What do I need to use it here in Australia? Do I need a new plug or a...

good day.

first, the power socket,,try to see the power plug of your machine and the power socket you have..compare it..when its compatible no need to replace,,if not you need a socket adapter.or if not available buy a new plug (if your plug is not compatible to the socket)

secondly, you don't need a transformer if your ac supply in Australia is 120v..
if the supply in your place bigger than 120v...like 220v,230 or 250v..you have to use a step-down transformer with input of what you have in Australia and the output is 120v..and of course pay attention for the wattage of transformer to avoid over heat or burn..I suggest to buy 1500w...

thank you and good luck

I plugged it into 220V outlet and Brother HL 2140 only accepted 110-120V. Is there a fuse somewhere I can access and replace? THank you.

hi. I had the same problem and to fix it you need to take printers right-side cover off. Underneath you'll find a Power Supply Board - hidden under metal cover. Take it out and disconnect two cables from it. Now, I had to replace an fuse 125V 4A and varistor E241AD 83P on the Power Supply Board in mine HL-2140. It works fine now.

Note: I could not find the exact replacements in electronic store so I used:

- fuse: 250V 4A

- varistor: FNR 10K241 (241 is the important number)

Hope it helps.

How to change tension from 120V to 220V

If you are sending a sewing machine which runs on 120volts to a region that has a 240volt power supply you will need to get a
power step down converter that will fit into the socket of the 220volt supply ,and will have a socket that will hold the plug of the 120volt supply going to your machine.
the converter must reduce the 240v down to 110v .

Blown Subwoofer

Hi , you will have to open the box and check for any fuses along the power input line, replace them if any and try it out but i strongly believe what happened there is that you fried the power supply in your subwoofer , there is no easy fix to this , you will need to replace the transformer and possibly check to see if the rectification circuit is damaged too, and the amplifier too. Good luck
