Hi There, I have unintentionally 'formatted' a Kodak Easyshare CX7430, meaning that all cameras softwares were cleared. The camera does not turn on anymore. Although that was my mistake - I meant only to cancel all files I had created in one go - this should not be allowed by the manufacturer. Is there something I can do to restore the files system of the camera? I really liked that camera... Thanks a lot, Regards, S
Well ask Kodak. they have help there.
all cameras work diffr. you need to work with them.
ive never seen any camera that allows the OS, to be erased.
wow.
but i have seen cameras with one memory,
it will lock up if the memory is not reformatted,
RTM read the manual , under how to format the memory.
then do that. and turn off cam.
take out the batteries, for 1 or 2 mins. put them back.
now see if it turns. on.
if you can get the menus back use the factory reset mode.

When videos are spliced, multiple audio and video tracks are needed. Kodak EasyShare digital cameras can handle only one video and one audio track at a time. Use the Apple QuickTime player to view spliced videos.

Hey B418,
Formatting will delete all your pictures on your camera or memory card. The camera might be prompting you to format because the the camera's memory is full. To avoid losing your pictures I would connect your camera to a computer, download your images to your computer first, and then format the memory.
Sincerely,
Allan

Hi, here is whats going on, if your M763 is powering on for 2 secs and the lense opens up then go's right back in, there is a 90% chance you got sand in the unit from say the beach ?
here is a test , when you press the power buttion watch the lense you will notice that the bigger part rotates as it comes out, what you want to do is give it a little help Lightly rotate it abit more just at the point where it normaly stops and go's back in, the cam will prob stay on and work like normal.
now the hard part 2 things to try, a can of AIR from walmarts try to blow out and sand thats around the rings, i did this and have fixed about 20 of these's now, on the others you will need to take it apart and clean the gears and mech of the lense housing then put it all back together.
hope this helps

Either your PCB board is damaged, your batteries are old, or your AC adapter is providing higher voltage than the required 3 volts.
