MY ETX-60 DOES NOT MOVE UP AND DOWN !!!!

HI EVERYONE
I HAVE ETX-60 IT WORKED FINE FOR 20 DAYS
YESTERDAY I DICOVERED THAT THE IT MOVES RIGHT AND LEFT
BUT WHEN I TRY TO MOVE IT UP AND DOWN
IT DOES NOT RESPONE
ALTHOUGH I HEAR THE SOUNF OF OF THE MOTOR
I REPLACED THE BATTARIES WITH NEW
BUT THE SAME PROBLEM REMAINED
I FEEL THAT EITHER THE MOVING BELT OR GEAR IS SOFT OR LOOSE
I THINK OF OPENING IT BUT I DO NOT KNOW HOW
AND I AM AFRIAD TO DAMAGE IT
CAN YOU HELP ME
HOW CAN I OPEN IT SEE FROM INSDE?
PLEASE HELP

The Azimuth clutch is slipping-- have you tightened the knob in the center of the base-- push the handle to the left. There is a tiny set screw on the side of the knob -- you can loosen it and remove the knob and position it further to the RIGHT on the bolt.

Did you lock down BOTH clutches?

You should have Calibrated motors and trained drives before you actually tried to do a goto.

Meade ETX-60 Horizontal drive

The AZ worm gear is not engaging the gears. There is a spring next to the gear which applies pressure -- open up the base and see if the spring is loose or broken.

I have a diamond snow plow about 10 years old. It has the E 60 motor on a 71/2 foot plow. I put it on the truck everything worked fine. I clean the main wiring harness and put *** grease in the harness....
