Re: I pressed a little square button on left top conner...
Try FN blue button normally down in the lower left corner of the keyboard and arrow up key or it looks like a blue light up. Push both of these keys at the same time to see if this increases the brightness back up.

If you haven't resolved the language issue yet, try this: 1. power up the tablet by pressing the power button on the left side of the top edge of the tablet 2. slide the lock to bring up the home screen 3. across the top of the screen you'll see a magnifying glass (top left), a microphone, a folder with three dots on it (center) and dark area on the top right corner with six blue squares in it. Press the squares. Now you'll see your apps. 4. swipe your finger across the screen from right to left to show the next screen of apps. Look for the Settings app. It's grey with a light grey gear/sprocket in the center. Press that and you'll go into the Settings screen. 5. Down the left side you'll see a menu of options. Look for the Language and Input option. It is the one that looks like a solid light coloured square with the letter A in the center of it. Press that. 6. when that's hightlighted on the left side of the screen, you'll see the language option at the very top of the right side of the screen. There's no icon beside it, but it's the very top option. Press that. 7. the twelfth option in the list that comes up on the right side is "English (Canada)". Count down to the twelfth option and press it. The language of your table will be English. Go back and change it to something else if you don't want that particular English option. Hope this helps. I found this youtube video that might help, too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_rK6WRT3Ps Skip ahead to 2:38. That's where he turns it on and then he changes the language (he could be changing it to Spanish, but you'll get the idea). Mike
I have a smaller sized Gateway monitor than yours, but I'm sure the monitor buttons (on the front) perform the same functions on all sizes.
You should have eight control buttons on the front of the bezel (as listed from left to right): source, menu, down arrow, up arrow, left arrow, right arrow, auto/set, and on/off buttons.
Press the menu button, the first dialog screen that appears (at least on mine) is the brightness/contrast function. The screen will show the function to be changed, and a very small picture of what screen you have in view.
Once the first function is listed on the screen, press the down arrow to access the other screens (color, tracking and set-up), each having their own little picture indicating what screen you are looking at.
Brightness/contrast - picture of half light, half dark circle color - RGB picture tracking - two squares on top on one another slightly off center set-up- hand pointing left
You want the set-up screen which shows a picture (I think) of a little hand pointing to the left. Once you are in the set-up screen, press the auto/set button and the first line will be highlighted (usually it is the language choice).
Once highlighted, press the right arrow button until your language name appears (i.e., English, Duetsch, Francais, Espanol Italiano, -there is no choice on mine for Japanese, etc.).
Press the menu button again and that should do it.
Locate the Fn (Function) key on your keyboard. It may be on the bottom left side with dark blue letters. Locate the two "brightness" keys near the top of the keyboard. These will be in the "F" keys, possibly if F6 and F7. They should have little sun pictures or something similar to indicate brightness. Hold down the Fn key while pressing F7, or whichever "F" key your laptop uses to increase brightness. Tap F7 repeatedly until you reach the desired brightness. Fn must be held down as you continue to tap. Hope this helps.

Here is enough to get you started and a little more. Read
the post ant consult your calculator manual. The screen captures below
may not look exactly as your calculator but the steps are identical.
A. Define a matrix (Create it)
Turn calculator ON.
Press Menu, select the MAT icon and press [EXE]
You see a list of possible matrix labels (A, B, C,D,E,F)
All that have not been created have a "none" to their right
Highlight a matrix name and press the right arrow. Where there was "none" , you have a template 0x0.
That is where you specify the dimensions (mxn). example. 2x2
Enter the first dimension and press [EXE]
Enter the 2nd dimension and press [EXE]
A matrix template opens where you enter the coefficients left to right and up down.
After each coefficient press [EXE]. Cursor moves to the next coefficient, etc.
Press [SHIFT][QUIT] to return to the list of matrices to create new ones
B Operations on matrices Once
you have one matrix, you can do operations on it: Calculate the
determinant (if matrix is square), calculate its inverse, transpose,
augment it, fill it, etc..
These operations are accessed as follows.
Quit the matrix editor by pressing [Menu] and selecting the [Run] application.
Press [OPTN][F2:MAT]
You have the menus Mat,M(atrix)->L(ist), Det(erminant), Trn (transpose), Aug(ment) ->, Iden(tity),Dim(ension) Fill
Example : calculate the determinant of a matrix A (already defined).
You press the [OPTN][F2:MAT] key sequence (just above)
Press [F3:Det]; the commanddetis displayed on screen.
Press [F1:Mat] the identifier Mat is displayed.
Press [ALPHA] A; screen display det Mat A.
Press [EXE] to get the value of the determinant.
C. Square of Matrix A [OPTN][F2:MAT] (MAT) [Alpha] A ^2 [EXE]
D. Product of two compatible matrices MatAXMatB [OPTN][F2:MAT] (MAT) [Alpha] A [*] (MAT) [ALPHA] B [EXE]
Part E Invert a (square, non singular) matrix that was already defined.
Press [OPTN] [F2:Mat] to open a screen similar to the one in capture above Press [F1:Mat] to have identifier Mat displayed. Enter the name of the matrix by pressing [ALPHA] A, for example. Press [SHIFT] [ ) ] activate the (x^-1) key.
This is what you might see (with parentheses and without).
