I have a H show up and blinking why?

The hard drive which saves/stores the recorded video is either full or it has died. Try deleting some of the older saved video to gain more space. If that doesn't work you may need to replace the hard drive.

Swann servalance hdd red light flashing

Yes it should flash the red led, that means that the system is recording at that specific moment....I would worry if there is motion in the front of the cameras and the red light wouldn't flash.
