Nikon D90 takes pictures, all pictures are black!

Just got a brand new Nikon D90. No matter which lens I use, all of the images are coming up as just a black image. We got one normal picture and now all we can get are black images. Perhaps we have a wrong setting somewhere? Thanks

Thanks for the help, wickedraist. Indeed, its the camera body itself, according to Nikon support. So yah, I am gonna return it, no stress or worries. Got it via amazon, boxing it up now, and they already are expressing a new one to me.

Can't wait to get it working and have some fun with it!

Recently I found one balck spot on my picture, I dont know whay the black spot is coming. I am having a Nikkon D90 18-105 lens.

The black spot can be from one or two sources. The first, is a called a stuck or hot pixel. Your camera's sensor has 12.9 million pixels (12.3 million are used for the image). Many times, a hot or stuck pixel is a bright color - red, yellow, green, etc. It can be any color however. Dark or black pixels can also be called dead pixels as they look like they're "off." Regardless of which your camera suffers, it will not respond to light projected on the sensor by the lens. You'll have to have manually edit the pixel in each image, or return to Nikon for sensor replacement. Nikon used to perform a mapping out of the pixel, but it seems that they don't do this any longer. A sensor replacement can cost in the hundreds of dollars.

The second source, is dust on the sensor. A pixel(s) blocked by dust will show up in each picture, but will appear to be more in focus in some images than others - depending on the aperture value of the camera when the exposure was made. A stuck pixel usually has a very definite edge on all images regardless of aperture setting. A simple, careful wet cleaning of the sensor with a product designed specifically for the job can solve this problem pretty quickly.

Here's a video for wet sensor cleaning from Youtube There are others here too. I hope this was helpful & good luck!

I used the Nikon D90 with Lens Kit 18-200 mm, and I also bought the new Lens call Nikkor 75-300mm. But when I connected the new one (Nikkor 75-300 mm) in my camera and took some pictures, after that I...

That's the Nikon error message for a lens with aperture ring set to something other than the minimum (i.e. highest number).
The camera insists on controlling the aperture ring, and to do so, the ring must be set to the minimum setting.
Unless it is a "G" lens, which has no aperture ring whatsoever.
The camera body sets the aperture of the lens wide open while auto-focusing, and displaying through the viewfinder. When it comes time to flip the mirror up and take a picture, the camera dials the aperture to the setting you (or the camera) have selected.

Nikon D90 that does not want to shoot pictures

The camera may not be sensing that a lens is attached. Try removing the lens completely and then attaching it again securely.

Lense will not work with SLR Nikon D90

This lens is too old for the D90, it has not got the electronics for metering and autofocus.
You can use it manually in M mode but you will have to set the aperture and shutter yourself.
The D90 manual has a section on compatible lenses, page 228 in my version.
This recommends CPU lenses for the D90, type G and D.
