Hi

To loosen the harness on the CabrioFix depress the button on the tensioner housing unit and pull both harness straps toward you together as instructed in the User Manual.

If this is not working it will need to come in for inspection and repair required. If you're in the UK and the carseat is under 24 months old please return to your retailer with proof of purchase for them to send to our engineers for inspection / repair under warranty terms and conditions. If you're in the UK and it is over 24 months old or you no longer have proof of purchase you can book in with the customer care team directly on 01284 413 141 Mon-Thur 08:30-17:30 / Fri 08:30-16:30 (Excluding Bank Holidays) Standard cost is 39.99GBP which does include courier collection and delivery. if you're not in the UK please visit www.maxi-cosi.com and select the country you're in, then choose the Contact Us tab on the right side of the screen for your enquiry to be sent through to the customer care team in your country who can assist.

How to untwist the lower connector strap?

The only thing I can suggest is to rub some Vaseline on it and use two needle nose pliers to pull it free.

I am having trouble adjusting shoulder straps

Funny, I was just putting this seat back together after taking it apart to wash it. It is a very difficult process, simply because you have to remember which order to loop the buckles through the stap.

First, I assume you want to switch from the lower holes for the shoulder, to the upper. (If not, then there is no adjustment needed. Unless the strap is caught in the back which will make the straps uneven when you go to tighten them. This has happened to me).

So, first you need to remove the straps. Once the seat is removed from the car, look at the back of the seat and you will see a metal bracket that is holding three straps. The bottom strap is not removable from that bracket. The top two strap are attached to the bracket with loops. Remove the straps by sliding them out (edge of the strap has to come out the hole first, then the rest will slide out very easily), Once out, from the front of the seat, pull the strap through the holes

At this point you must decide whether you simply want to adjust the seat, or wash it too. I highly suggest washing it if you haven't done so recently. If you gone this far, go all the way. But since you only asked to adjust it, and the method for removing the cover is much more complicated, we''ll move on to adjusting

Now that you have the straps pulled through, be sure that the straps are not twisted, and simply push them through the desired holes - upper or lower - and reconnect to the loops brace (remember, edge in first).

If you are having problems with the straps not being even when tightened (one side tight on shoulder, other side loose), remove the seat and look to see if the strap is caught on something.

I'm retiring my seat today after six years and two kids. I could use it up to 80lbs, but it makes it difficult to get to the third row of seats in my car. So now we have two no-back boosters.

Quinny Buzz Seat Unit 2008

i contacted quinny because the straps on my quinny had become too tight for my 1year old. Quinny responded informing me that it has come to their attention that the 07/08 quinny buzz was made with smaller straps and that the seat padding was much thicker, causing them to quickly become too small. Second stage seats are now sold as standard to give extra room, but if you purchased your pushchair before this, to contact the retailer to recieve your free second stage seat cover. The result being that my 1yr old now fits in quinny.

Discovery 5 3 little bears car seat

You should never put your baby in a car seat in their snowsuit. It counts as extra padding, and voids all the crash testing done with your car seat. It is NOT safe! You should instead put your child in the seat with just normal clothing, tighten until it's very snug. You should not be able to pinch your strap at all, then put a blanket on top of the straps. There should be a tension adjustment. Read your user's manual. If you don't have one, call the manufacturer and they can email you a virtual copy. If the tension is let all the way out, your child has probably outgrown the seat. Check the manual for height and weight limits. My boys grew out of their infant seats at 4 and 5 months old! It was an older Discovery model, but I suspect the height limit is still a measly 26 inches, instead of 29 inches like most seats. They weren't even CLOSE to the weight limit, but had to move to a convertible seat anyway. I need a new seat for the baby who will arrive in a few months, and I will be paying more $$$ for one that has a higher height limit.

Cant tighten straps

To answer this in detail, I need the car seat name and manufacturer. Always the best bet is to look in the original owner's manual. If you don't have this, it can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website.

Rear facing latch problem

I had trouble getting mine tight too and my sister said what she did was kneel in the seat and then pull up on the strap. I tried that and it worked! I think it pushes the seat down more so that you have more strap to pull.

Straps nearly impossible to tighten!

If you grab the straps up at the top near the shoulder and pull hard you can get a bit of slack at the bottom, they are ridiculously difficult to pull, I have twins and both seats are the same, there should be a handle to pull at the bottom but it just takes strong fingers to do it without that.
